Yes. Quest for Connection provides English-speaking, story-based emotional support for children and families in Hamburg, with no German required. Sessions are designed for children who may be experiencing challenges with emotions such as anxiety, anger, friendship difficulties, focus or impulse control.
Sessions are offered in person in Hamburg and are suitable for children from 5 to 11 years old. The practice is led by Michela, a qualified drama therapist and trauma-informed practitioner with a Master's degree and professional experience developing social-emotional learning programmes for children and teachers.
They don't have to. Quest for Connection uses story, play and creative experiences rather than asking children to sit down and talk directly about difficult emotions. Your child enters a story, meets characters who are going through something similar, and learns emotional regulation skills through the adventure.
You can start smaller. The free Story Making Workshop and an initial consultation are both low-commitment ways to experience the Quest approach before deciding whether a full Quest is right for your child.
Quest for Connection is designed for children aged 5 to 11 years old. The stories, activities and level of support are adapted to the child's developmental stage, so they can build emotional skills through play, imagination and storytelling rather than relying on verbal therapy alone.
Drama therapy is a creative form of therapeutic support that uses storytelling, role-play, imagination, movement and play to help children explore emotions, relationships and difficult experiences. Children do not necessarily need to talk directly about a problem. Instead, they can work through experiences safely through characters, stories and creative play.
Quest for Connection draws on drama therapy principles and combines them with trauma-informed practice and social-emotional learning to help children develop practical emotional regulation and relationship skills.
